Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. Similar technologies, such as local storage and session storage, serve comparable purposes. This policy covers all of them, on our marketing site (startupsuite.ai) and in the product.

What our marketing site stores on your device

The marketing site sets no cookies. It can store two items in your browser’s local storage: one once you make a choice in our consent banner, and one if you submit our early-access form:

• ss-cookie-consent (local storage, first party, strictly necessary): records the choice you made in the consent banner so we don’t ask you on every page. It is kept for 12 months, after which we ask again. Nothing is stored before you make a choice.
• looplift_visitor_id (local storage, first party): an anonymous, randomly generated visitor ID. It is saved only when you submit the early-access form, whatever choice you made in the consent banner, and the same ID is reused if you submit the form again from the same browser. It is sent with your form details to LoopLift, the service we use to manage the waitlist, to help attribute sign-ups. We set no expiry on it, so it stays until you or your browser clear site data.

Our fonts, images and videos are served from our own domain, so browsing the site does not send your data to third parties such as font or image services.

Optional cookies

We group optional technologies into three categories. Each one stays off unless you switch it on:

• Analytics: helps us understand which pages are useful. We do not currently use any analytics on the marketing site.
• Marketing: advertising or retargeting. We do not use any marketing cookies or pixels.
• Personalisation: remembers preferences to tailor the site. We do not currently use any.

If we add a tool in one of these categories, we will update this policy first, ask for your consent again, and run the tool only after you have opted in to that category.

Forms

When you submit the early-access form, the details you enter are sent to the service we use to manage the waitlist, together with an anonymous visitor ID and any campaign (utm) tags in the page address. This happens only when you press submit. It places no cookies, but it saves that anonymous visitor ID in your browser’s local storage as looplift_visitor_id (see above). In the product

• Essential: when you use the Startup Suite product, session, authentication and security cookies keep you signed in and protect your account. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled without breaking sign-in.
• Third-party sign-in: when you sign in, our identity provider may set cookies needed to keep your session secure.

Your choices

On your first visit, the consent banner offers “Reject non-essential” and “Accept all” as equal choices, plus “Manage preferences” to choose category by category. Every optional category is off until you switch it on. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” in the site footer, and withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. You can also clear site data in your browser.

Retention

Your consent choice is kept for 12 months. The waitlist visitor ID has no set expiry and stays until you or your browser clear site data. Product session cookies expire when your session ends; authentication cookies follow the session lifetime set by our identity provider.

Updates

If we add new technologies or change how we use them, we will update this policy before they run and, where required, ask for your consent again.
